By using christianaugustmusic.com, submitting a lesson-registration form, communicating with Christian August Music, or enrolling in lessons, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Christian August Music may collect information that you voluntarily provide, including:
Student and parent or guardian names
Email addresses and telephone numbers
A student’s age or date of birth
Emergency-contact information
Lesson interests, instruments, experience, goals, and availability

PAYMENT INFORMATION
Christian August Music currently accepts payment by cash, check, Venmo, or Zelle. Current payment instructions are provided privately by email after registration.
Payments are not processed through the Christian August Music website or the My Music Staff student-management system. Transactions completed through Venmo or Zelle are also subject to the privacy practices and terms of those services.
Christian August Music may maintain records showing the amount, date, purpose, and status of a payment but does not collect or store payment-card information through the website or student-management system.
COOKIES ANALYTICS AND ADVERTISING
Christian August Music may use cookies and similar technologies provided by Squarespace, Google Analytics, Google Ads, or other service providers. These technologies may help operate the website, understand how visitors use it, measure registration-button activity, evaluate advertising, and improve the visitor experience.
Some cookies are necessary for website operation. Other analytics or advertising cookies may be controlled through the website’s cookie banner or through your browser settings where those choices are available.

Christian August Music does not sell personal information.

Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, protect a student or another person from harm, investigate fraud or misuse, enforce an agreement, or protect the rights and property of Christian August Music.
STUDENTS UNDER 18
When a student is under 18, a parent or legal guardian should complete registration, provide required permissions, make payment decisions, and participate in material communications.
The website and registration process are intended for adults, parents, guardians, and students capable of using the services with appropriate parental involvement. Christian August Music does not knowingly invite children under 13 to submit personal information independently.
A parent or guardian who believes that a child under 13 has submitted information without appropriate permission should contact christianaugustmusic@gmail.com so the information can be reviewed and, when appropriate, deleted.
PHOTOGRAPHS RECORDINGS AND STUDENT WORK
Christian August Music will not publicly use a student’s name, photograph, audio, video, testimonial, performance, composition, arrangement, or other musical work unless the student or Responsible Party has selected an appropriate media-permission option.
Media permission is optional and is not required to receive lessons. Permission may be withdrawn prospectively by emailing christianaugustmusic@gmail.com. Withdrawal may not require the removal of material that was previously published or distributed lawfully.
DATA RETENTION
Christian August Music may retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide lessons, maintain business and tax records, resolve disputes, document agreements and payments, protect legal rights, and comply with applicable obligations.
Information that is no longer reasonably required may be deleted or securely disposed of. Certain business, payment, attendance, consent, and contractual records may be retained after lessons end.
DATA SECURITY
Christian August Music uses reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information. However, no website, email account, online lesson platform, payment service, or electronic-storage system can guarantee complete security.
If Christian August Music becomes aware of a data-security incident requiring notification, affected individuals will be notified as required by applicable law.

Request correction of inaccurate information

Christian August Music may require up to 48 business hours to respond. Weekends and recognized holidays do not count toward this response period.

The website may contain links to third-party websites, social-media platforms, recordings, payment services, or registration systems. Christian August Music is not responsible for the privacy or security practices of those outside services.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
